Overview
The design module of Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40110) provides the skills and knowledge to design and develop workplace learning programs.
Structure
The course is structured into two units:
- TAEDES401A: Design & develop learning programs
- TAEDES402A: Use training packages and accredited courses to meet client needs
Outcomes
And, by the end of the course module, you will be able to:
- Plan lessons and group training
- Design programs for nationally accredited qualifications
- Develop workplace training programs

Assessments
When studying the Certificate IV in Training & Assessment design modulethere will be a number of projects and assessment tasks to complete:
- Designing training programs
- Designing documents
Some projects and assessments will be conducted in the training room or via distance, others will require workplace ‘homework’ or to be conducted in your workplace. The course facilitators or distance coach will work closely with you to help you complete each project or task
Prerequisites
There are no formal qualification requirements to undertake the Certificate IV in Training & Assessment Design module however, good language and literacy skills and computer competency is recommended. During your studies we will provide you with a dedicated facilitator/coach, study materials and as much support as you need.
To complete the course students are required to undertake workplace relevant training. If you do not have a workplace you can conduct training and assessments in please contact us as alternative options can be made.
