NORSKE SKOG PAPER MILL | BOYER TASMANIA
Overview:
The Norske Skog Paper Mill in Boyer, Tasmania, which produced Australia’s first newsprint in 1941 and remains one of the state’s major employers, wanted to develop a new vision and have all employees in the business represented in its creation.
Challenges:
- Existing Vision had been developed exclusively by the Management Team and had outlived its useful term.
- Opposition within the Management Team about the process of “revisioning” the Mill
- Communication of the existing vision statement and its meaning had become difficult.
Approach:
- Generate Management team commitment and agreement on approach
- Development of Vision Building Workshop concept with all stakeholders represented in the room
- Collation of workshop outcomes to arrive at the new Vision
Results:
- Vision created
